Is it easy to be a writer or an artist? It’s not a question of ease. Even if you’re successful, there’s always a back-breaking and mind-wracking work behind it. Days may come when the creative flow is smooth, and your work flows effortlessly. However, on other days, the process can be utterly challenging, leaving you feeling frustrated and wanting to give up. Writing and artistry demand continuous attention, love, care, and a lot of patience.
Where Does Talent Come In?
Some people might say that certain individuals are naturally gifted and that these skills are hard to come by. For me, however, writing comes naturally, and it’s one of my strengths. My son is an artist, and for him, it’s a natural part of his being. He uses his talent to express himself. Therefore, it’s not that writing or art is hard for those who can and want to do them. It’s more about the desire and commitment to these pursuits.

While being a writer or artist may not be as glamorous as being a poet, it certainly has its own set of challenges. How many authors and artists suffer from the belief that rhymes don’t pay? The career path of a writer or artist is long and winding. They engage in various activities to earn money, all while they keep writing.

The physical act of writing, sitting for long periods in a quiet environment, can be painful, especially as one ages. Writers often face rejection and may be perceived as lazy or a drain on society.

Secondly, when writing, you must convey your message effectively. Writing is an art form with its own set of rules. It demands precision in word choice and structure. Not all books will capture your heart, but a few may profoundly influence your way of thinking. Remember, words are incredibly powerful.
