What is Your Review on Paint My Walls?

"Paint My Walls" (PMW) in Kolkata has been reported as a fraudulent company, not extending its services with quality and reliability. We provide a detailed review of the company, its practices, and the experiences of past customers.

Summary of the Scam Experience

The fraudulent operations of PMW in Kolkata, including the engagement of fake sales and project managers, have led to customer dissatisfaction and financial loss. According to customer reports, PMW takes advance payments but fails to deliver the promised services, leaving customers dissatisfied and unfulfilled.

Common Issues with PMW

Non-delivery of services: After receiving advance payments, the company does not carry out the promised project and even stops communication. Low-quality service: PMW uses poor quality materials and methods that dilute primer solutions and reduce the job quality. Unfulfilled commitments: The sales manager promises to be the primary point of contact but then shifts responsibility to a project manager, which leads to a series of unresolved issues. Failure to refund: Payment advances are not refunded even after the project is abandoned.

Personal Scam Experience with PMW

I faced a similar scam with PMW in Kolkata during the painting of my house. After initial estimates, the sales manager promised to initiate the work within a 10-day lead time. However, the reality was far from the initial promise.

Experience Breakdown

1. Estimation and Initial Payment: Initially, Sales Manager Rajeev agreed to be the point of contact during the project. A 10% advance was paid on 27th May to ensure the work would start on June 7th.

2. Delayed Initiation and Advance Payments: The work started on June 10th, with an additional 40% advance paid on the first day of the project. During the initial phase, the painter was absent, and the wrong primer was used, which was not promptly addressed by the PMW team.

3. Quality and Project Management Issues: The project was supposed to be completed within a 10-day span, but it only worked for 4 days. The project manager suggested changing the vendor and promising to refund the advance, but no action was taken.

4. Final Failure and Refund: On 23rd June, PMW declared that they were unable to deliver the project and promised to refund the deposit. On 25th June, the project manager visited the site to assess the work and confirm eligibility for a refund. Since then, multiple attempts to contact PMW for the refund have been unsuccessful.

Conclusion and Advice

Based on the experiences reported, it is crucial to be cautious about engaging with PMW for any home painting services. Do not give your house painting work to PMW; they have multiple points of contact that lead to fraudulent behavior.

Crucial lessons learned from this scam include:

Verify Provider Credibility: Always check for reviews and testimonials from previous clients. Establish Clear Communication: Ensure that the provider is transparent about their work and that all points of contact are genuine. Request written agreements: Obtain written agreements that clearly outline the terms and conditions of the work and payments. Stay Informed: Regularly follow up with the service provider and ensure that all promises are fulfilled.

To avoid falling victim to such scams, stay vigilant and choose trusted and reliable painting services. Write reviews and share your experiences to help others make informed decisions.
