Mastering BTS Songs: Which K-Pop Hits Can I Sing Fluently With Korean Lyrics?
While I might struggle to follow the dance routines, my love for BTS remains as strong as ever. From DNA to my favorite hits like 4:30 and We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2, here's a deep dive into which BTS songs I can sing from start to finish without breaking a sweat, even with their sometimes challenging Korean lyrics.
My BTS Journey Begins with DNA
DNA was the song that truly introduced me to BTS. I used to listen to it non-stop, and even now, it holds a special place in my heart. This iconic song not only got me into BTS but also sparked my interest in K-pop culture.
Favorite Songs Easier to Master
Standing out among my favorites are 4:30 and We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2. Taehyung's and Namjoon's collaborations like 4:30 have always been some of my go-to tracks because of their gentle and memorable rap sections. Similarly, We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2 is a cornerstone of my BTS playlist.
Challenging but Memorable Songs
Other songs like We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2, Serendipity, and Euphoria are also high on the list. These songs have intricate lyrics and layered melodies, but my knowledge of the lyrics allows me to sing them almost fluently. I can even sing along in Korean, though I sometimes struggle to keep up with the more complex parts.
Anger Management and Mic Drop
Switching gears to Mic Drop, Steve Aoki remix is another song I can sing briskly through with ease. The English parts are simpler, making it more approachable. I can recall and sing about 80% of it, which is a great achievement considering the song's complexity in Korean.
Others I Can't Fully Sing
There are a few other hits, including Fake Love, Fake Idol, and Mikrokosmos, that present more of a challenge. Even the Mic Drop remix, despite its simple English parts, still has sections I find hard to remember. And while I've tried my best, I haven't been brave enough to sing any of these songs in public due to my shyness.
Conclusion
Despite my challenges with Korean lyrics, I can confidently sing many of BTS's songs. From DNA to Mic Drop, We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2, and 4:30, these hits remain some of the closest to my heart. Singing along to K-pop, even with its lyrical nuances, has been a journey of self-improvement and dedication to one of the world's most dynamic music scenes.
