Jesus: The Light of the World and Source of Eternal Truth
The Light of the World: Jesus and His Role in Revelation
Shalom and blessings on this special blessed day as we prepare for the Seventh Day Sabbath. Today, let us delve into a profound topic—one that weaves together biblical prophecy, divine revelation, and the timeless teachings of Jesus. How is Jesus the Light of the World?
Isaiah 2:1-5: The Future of Human Aspiration and Unity
In the prophetic words of yeshayah (Isaiah) chapter 2, verses 1-5, we find a beautiful vision of the future. It speaks of the establishment of the mountain of the House of Yahuah, which is to be exalted above the hills and attract ALL NATIONS. Peoples from across the world will flock to this mountain, seeking not only the teachings of Yahuah but also life, guidance, and unity.
This mountain, representing the House of the Elohim of Yaaqob (Jacob), is a symbol of divine revelation and unity. The passage also hints at a future of peace, where swords are beaten into ploughshares and spears into pruning hooks, symbolizing the end of war and the start of a new era of harmony.
O HOUSE OF YAAQO, COME AND LET US WALK IN THE LIGHT OF YAHUAH.
The Light of the World: Proverbs 6:23
In the insightful words of Proverbs chapter 6, verse 23, we find a beautiful description of how the command is a lamp, and the Torah a light. These verses emphasize the importance of divine wisdom and instruction, which serve as a guiding light for all who seek truth and righteousness.
The light of the Torah, therefore, serves as a beacon for humanity, providing not only clarity but also a way of life. This light is not just intellectual or spiritual; it is a transformative force that illuminates the path to truth and righteousness.
Yahshua haMashiach as the Word of the Living Elohim
Yahshua haMashiach is a title that holds profound meaning. Not only is He known as the Word of the Living Elohim of Abraham, Yitshaq (Isaac), and Yisra’l, but He is also the Word made flesh, the Living Torah, and the Living Instruction for the world. These titles encapsulate His nature as both the divine word and the living embodiment of truth and righteousness.
Yahshua haMashiach is indeed the Living Torah. He is the channel through which the divine will and teachings of Elohim flow to humanity. This is made evident in John 1:1-2: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
In John 1:3-5, we see how everything came to be through Him, and the life in Him is the Light of men: “All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Yahshua haMashiach descended to earth as the Word became flesh in John 1:14; He pitched His tent among us, becoming a tangible source of divine truth, complete in favour and truth.
The Light Bringing Truth and Righteousness
In John 3:19-21, we find a message of judgment and truth. The Light has come into the world, and people have chosen darkness over light because of their wicked works. Yet, those who do the truth come to the Light, so that all emph{good works may be seen by men to be done in YAHUAH.}
The Light of Jesus is not just a metaphor. It is the embodiment of truth and righteousness. By walking in the Light of Jesus, we have the opportunity to experience true life, peace, and unity.
