Exploring Watercolor Painting: My Journey and Recent Works
As someone who has spent years working as a software engineer, I have found a sanctuary for my creativity through watercolor painting. This medium offers me a unique challenge and a sense of instant gratification that oil painting cannot match. Here, I share some of my recent works and my continuing journey in watercolor art.
My Recent Watercolor Paintings
Watercolor painting is a demanding yet rewarding craft. It’s a simple yet difficult art to master. Since graduating from high school (Class 12) and starting my professional career, I have found myself gravitating towards watercolor due to the flexibility and the layers one can create quickly. Unlike oil paintings, where waiting for layers to dry can be a substantial delay, watercolors can be much more spontaneous.
Valley, Swift Bird, and Forest
A speciality of watercolors is the balance between simplicity and complexity. Some of my recent works include a Valley scene, a Bird Swift, and a Forest scene. These paintings showcase the delicate balance and the layered textures that watercolors bring to life.

My First Watercolor Effort
My journey with watercolors began only recently. This is a picture of my very first watercolor painting where I used tape to cover the edges, intending to create a clear border. However, I notice that the watercolor seeped out a little at the top corners. Nonetheless, I was pleased with the outcome. This little mishap turned out to be a good lesson in patience and technique.

These paintings are collaborations with YouTube artists as well. I have used techniques learned from artists on these platforms to refine my skill set.
A Pure Watercolor Painting
I am properly trained in watercolor painting, which I have been practicing alongside my mixed media works. Here, I share a Pure watercolor painting that highlights the simplicity and mastery that can be achieved with this medium. The practice and dedication to this art are indeed the keys to perfection.
Why Watercolors?
For someone as busy as I am, watercolors offer a perfect blend of flexibility and creativity. While I used to regularly paint with oils, the mobility of watercolors allows me to create meaningful works without the painstaking waiting period required for oil paints. It’s also a wonderful way to explore different textures and color combinations in a more spontaneous manner.
As for my plans, I intend to continue practicing and developing my skills in watercolor painting. The medium challenges me to be more patient and meticulous, which is rewarding in itself. If you’re interested in my work, please feel free to subscribe to my channel or visit my page for more updates.
