If you are currently a student at ICCMCT Mumbai, Richa Patel shares her experience about the co-curricular activities available:
Check out my answer here. I am a student from the prestigious Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Frankly speaking, I don't have much idea about the NITs and their fests or their academics. But what I do know is that ICCMCT Mumbai is one of the best colleges for chemical engineering aspirants!
The fests are spread throughout the year, and intercollege sports competition do take place. We have our own sports fest organized by the sports club of ICT Sportsaga. It's a really famous fest and stretches ten days. Students from different colleges participate in large numbers as the cash prize is huge.
There are different clubs like Meraki - the Fine Arts club, the literary club, the dance club, the music club, the Performing Art Club (PFA) which comes under Meraki, the Marathi club Irish-the photography club etc.
The dance club and the music club combined have their own two days event called as Euphoria. The lit club keeps taking Spellbee and essay writing, and all kinds of competitions throughout the year. They are responsible for the publication of the college magazine - The Spirit. Meraki the fine arts club has its two days event consisting of art exhibition and photography exhibition. The Marathi club, Marathi is the local language of Maharashtra has its own series of events under the name Manthan. Many known Marathi celebrities, poets, and musicians have honoured the stage. Finally, Iris-the photography club organises photowalk in collaboration with Meraki-the fine arts club. And not a single day is wasted; you get so engrossed in studies and fests and competitions and everything that the days pass quickly, even before you realize that you are getting graduated the next month.
Hopefully, this provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the co-curricular activities available at both institutions.
