Looking back, my teenage years were filled with a myriad of experiences that shaped my young adult life. One of the earliest and most formative was my first job at a local drive-in restaurant during my teenage years. This place, much like a modern-day Sonic, was a few hours a day, several days a week, with longer hours on weekends. I got paid a modest 1.35 per hour, but generously included a free sandwich and small soda, which was perfect for a hungry teenager.

However, finding a balance between work and school was not an easy task, especially as I approached my senior year. The routines and responsibilities were different, and balancing the two required a great deal of discipline and time management. Nevertheless, the financial freedom that came with my first job was invaluable, giving me a taste of independence and introducing me to the hard work and dedication necessary for future endeavors.
